Why Do the Wicked Seem to Prosper? (Psalm 73) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Om avsnittet
Today we study Psalm 73 and ask what to do when evil people seem to have everything handed to them while believers struggle. This is not a new problem. It is a heart issue that has been around a long time, and Psalm 73 shows us how to deal with envy instead of sinking into self-pity.
"My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." (Psalm 73:26)
Questions this episode answers
What is the message of Psalm 73?
Asaph admits he almost slipped because he envied the prosperity of the wicked. Everything changed when he went into the sanctuary of God and saw their final end. He realized God Himself is his greatest treasure.
How do I stop envying other people?
Bring the envy to God, as Asaph did. Spend time in God's presence and remember what lasts forever. Gratitude for God Himself helps loosen the grip of comparison.
Does God see when the wicked seem to win?
Yes. Psalm 73 reminds us that their success is temporary and God will judge rightly. Our part is to trust Him and stay near to Him.
