Does God Fight for Me When I'm Outnumbered? (Psalm 83) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Om avsnittet
As God's child, I have come to see that His enemies are my enemies too. Today we study Psalm 83, where God's people face a crowd of nations against them. We still pray for our enemies, but when we face something bigger than ourselves, we have a God who steps in.
"That they may know that You alone, whose name is the LORD, Are the Most High over all the earth." (Psalm 83:18)
Questions this episode answers
What is Psalm 83 about?
Psalm 83 is a prayer when many nations joined together against Israel (Psalm 83:5-8). The writer asks God not to stay silent. The goal is that people would know the Lord alone is Most High.
How should Christians treat their enemies?
Jesus tells us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). Psalm 83 shows we can also bring injustice to God openly. We leave judgment to Him and keep showing love.
What can I do when I feel outnumbered?
Bring it to God in prayer, like the psalmist did. Remember that the battle belongs to the Lord, and He is Most High over all the earth. Our hope is not in our strength but in His.
