Why does God discipline His children?

Scripture says the Lord disciplines those He loves, the way a good father trains a child (Hebrews 12:6). Psalm 94:12 even calls the person God disciplines blessed. His correction is not rejection. It is meant to shape us and draw us back to Him.

What does Psalm 94 teach about injustice?

Psalm 94 is a cry to God about the wicked who seem to get away with harm. The writer remembers that God sees, hears, and will judge rightly. That truth lets us bring our anger and hurt to Him instead of carrying it alone.

How can God be my refuge when life is hard?

The psalmist says that when his foot was slipping, God's lovingkindness held him up (Psalm 94:18). When anxious thoughts pile up, God's comfort brings joy to the soul (Psalm 94:19). We run to Him in prayer and rest in who He is.
