Why Should I Listen After I Pray? (Psalm 99) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
Om avsnittet
Sometimes we are quick to pray but slow to listen. Today we look at Moses, Aaron, and Samuel in Psalm 99, who not only listened to God but obeyed what He told them to do. We see that God answers prayer when we take the time to listen.
"Moses and Aaron were among His priests, And Samuel was among those who called on His name; They called upon the LORD and He answered them." (Psalm 99:6)
Questions this episode answers
Why does Psalm 99 mention Moses, Aaron, and Samuel?
These three leaders called on the Lord, and He answered them. The psalm holds them up as examples of people who prayed, listened, and then obeyed what God said.
Does God really answer prayer?
Yes. Psalm 99:6 says they called upon the Lord and He answered them. God always hears His children, though His answer may be yes, no, or wait.
How can I get better at listening to God?
Build quiet into your prayer time instead of only talking. Read Scripture slowly, ask the Lord what He wants to say, and be ready to obey. Samuel's simple prayer, 'Speak, for Your servant is listening,' is a great place to start (1 Samuel 3:10).
