Does Jesus Condemn Me for My Past? (John 8:1-11) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study

What happened to the woman caught in adultery?

Religious leaders brought her to Jesus to test Him and asked if she should be stoned. Jesus said whoever was without sin should throw the first stone, and one by one they left. Then He told her He did not condemn her and to go and sin no more.

Did Jesus excuse her sin?

No. Jesus refused to condemn her, but He also told her to sin no more. His grace forgives us and also calls us into a new way of living.

How can I let go of shame from my past?

Bring it to Jesus and receive His forgiveness. Romans 8:1 says there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Let His word about you be louder than old accusations.
