Learning the Heart of Jesus from Our Children with Abby Wuthrich

Throughout scripture, Jesus didn’t just tolerate children—He welcomed them, blessed them, and even pointed to them as examples of the kind of faith that belongs in the kingdom of God.

In this episode, I'm joined by Abby Wuthrich—mom to 4, including cute Selah who deals with a variety of disabilities due to Congenital CMV—to talk about the surprising ways our children can teach us about the character of Christ if we slow down enough to notice. Through stories from motherhood— both beautiful and incredibly hard—we reflect on what it means to trust Jesus with the parts of life we never expected.

One of the truths that kept coming up in our conversation came from Camille Johnson's thoughts shared in the 2026 Relief Society Devotional—we can do hard with Jesus, or we can do hard alone. The hard doesn’t disappear, but when we walk through it with Him, something sacred begins to happen—the hard becomes holy.
