Operation Tracer: WW2 mission to hide six soldiers inside the Rock of Gibraltar

In 1942 with France already fallen and Nazi Germany tightening their grip on the remaining free countries of Europe, the British drew up plans for a daring operation to spy on Hitler’s movement across the Mediterranean by burying six men alive, deep inside the rock of Gibraltar, with the possibility that they would never come out.

In this episode we tell the story of that wild plan, hatched in the darkest days of the war.
