#25: Democracy: solution or obstacle to climate transitions?

This first episode with Diarmuid Torney, associate professor at Dublin City University, focuses on the challenges democracies and climate action face, and how democratic innovations can address them both. From citizens’ assemblies to scientific advisory bodies, new democratic approaches are emerging that aim to include more people and societal groups in climate policymaking. But do they actually lead to faster, fairer action, or do they risk slowing things down when time is already running out?
