Since then there has been more compliance with the archive, especially since the Russian government told the U.S. to go ahead and release the Kennedy-Krushchev letters. Sergei Khrushchev is the son of the former Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev. He remembers the Cuban Missile Crisis.
