Then, a good chunk of the collection in the Library of Congress American Folklife Center comes from recording field trips taken by Alan Lomax and others starting in the 1930s. Our resident folklorists, Stephen Winick and Nancy Groce, talk more about those field trips and share some of the lesser known recordings made during them, including some from Haiti.
