This is your Week 26  Igbo language practice session from Igbo Daily Drops — 15 sentences learnt over the past week in Igbo daily drops,  built for real-life use. Commands, requests, questions, and the kind of warm, human phrases that make the difference between knowing a language and living in it.

Work through each sentence at your own pace. You will hear it once, then again — then it is your turn. The sentences this week move from saying where you are located, who you are , to asking who others are. 

The Igbo sentences we learnt this week are :

Anyị biịrị n'ụlọ ochie — We lived in an old house. 
A hụrụ m nne m ochie — I saw my grandmother. 
A bụ m nwata n'ụlọ anyị — I was a child at our home. 
Anyị gara ahịa na ụtụtụ — We went to the market in the morning 
A na m agbabụ ọsọ n'ezi — I used to run outside 
Anyị rikọrọ nri ọnụ — We ate food together 
Agụụ gụrụ m maka na m na-arụ ọrụ — I was hungry because I was working 
Obi na-atọ m ụtọ — I was happy 
Ụjọ atụghị m — I was not afraid 
Ọnụgbu ahụ lụrụ ilu — That bitter leaf was bitter. 
Ọ dị ọkụ, dịkwa oyi — It was hot and cold. 
Efe m na-acha mmee-mmee — My clothes were red. 
A bụ m nwata na Nigeria — I was a child in Nigeria 
A hụrụ m nne m ochie n'ụlọ ochie — I saw my grandmother in the old house 
E nweela m obi ọma maka na oge ahụ bụ oge dị mma — I have been happy, because that time was a good time
