Language and Tarot with K. Leigh Clapp

Evolutionary oracle K. Leigh Clapp is a professional Tarot reader from Frederick, Maryland. In her work and writings, she draws upon her vast knowledge base spanning from religion and science to mythology and metaphysics. A Deaf scholar-mystic fluent in American Sign Language and English, Leigh sees translation as a potent act of alchemy. Her name sign evokes images of illumination and blooming.

IN THIS CONVERSATION Leigh shares rich insights on language and its companions - symbol, metaphor and syntax - and discusses what gets lost in translation when moving from an oral or signed language to a written one.
