Moving Toward a Safer World by 2040

The JAMA Summit on Firearm Violence convened 60 thought leaders from a wide array of disciplines to chart a roadmap that could lead to substantial reductions in firearm harms by 2040. Frederick P. Rivara, MD, MPH, of the University of Washington joins JAMA Editor in Chief Kirsten Bibbins-Domingo, PhD, MD, MAS, to discuss the Summit and steps that could lead to a safer world by 2040.
