Parables Reimagined: The Lost Sheep

When one student disappears from her classroom, Teacher Rosa walks twenty minutes through a hot market to find him.

Carlo is ten years old, quiet, invisible. His mother left. His father drinks. His desk has been empty for three days. While other teachers might note the absence and move on, Rosa refuses to let one child vanish without a trace.

This retelling of the parable of the lost sheep brings the story into a Filipino elementary school, where one teacher's refusal to look away changes a boy's life forever.
