The Day You Stop Blaming Is the Day You Start Winning | Jim Rohn Motivation
Om avsnittet
Watch where your mind goes in that first raw second, before you've had time to compose yourself. When things fall apart, that instinctive reach tells you almost everything about the direction your life is headed.
Uploaded 14-09-26
For most people, the mind goes outward. To the economy. To the boss who didn't recognize them. To the parents, the partner, the timing, the luck that never came. And some of it may be entirely true.
But here is the truth: an excuse can be one hundred percent accurate and still be one hundred percent useless. The moment you assign the cause of your problem to something outside yourself, you have also assigned the solution to something outside yourself — and then you wait, helpless, for a world that is in no hurry to change on your behalf.
This seminar unpacks the single mechanic behind why some people rise from the exact same wreckage that keeps others stuck: where they point their mind on that first difficult day.

THE ACCURACY TRAP AND THE HANDED-OVER KEYS
We pour enormous effort into proving our reasons are valid, that anyone in our position would have struggled too. And we win that argument decisively — then look up and realize winning it changed nothing. Right and still stuck. Justified and still going nowhere. Blame offers relief, but that relief is a loan, not a gift, and the interest is brutal: you feel better for an hour and worse for a year, because every act of it quietly reinforces the belief that your life is not in your hands.
RESPONSE-ABILITY IS POWER, NOT GUILT
Responsibility has been sold to people all wrong — as a burden, as an admission of fault. But listen to the word: response, ability. The ability to respond. It does not require you to have caused the problem. The storm was not your fault, but the response to the storm is entirely yours, and no one can take it unless you give it away. That is the great reversal. One person asks whose fault is this; the other asks what's my move. Same wreckage, two different lives.
WHERE YOUR ENERGY GOES WHEN YOU STOP DEFENDING
Building a case takes work. Rehearsing grievances takes work. And it is the same fuel you would need to actually get out — just aimed at your alibi instead of your escape. The day you stop, that energy floods back, the mind that was defending you becomes available to plan for you, and the quiet return of possibility begins. Not because the world will change, but because you can change what you bring to it.
WHAT TO DO THIS WEEK
Catch one thought mid-sentence and notice its ending — helplessness means blame, agency means analysis.
Name one grievance you've been rehearsing, feel it fully, then ask: and now what.
Spend one hour you'd normally spend building a case building a way out instead.
Write down one "limitation" you've repeated for years and test whether it's fact or an old excuse.
Break one chain — stop waiting on an apology that isn't coming.
