If I Erased My Marriage From My Mind (Here's What I'd Lose)

If you could erase your ex-wife from your memory forever, would you? Would you even want to? A man going through a brutal divorce asked me a question that stopped me cold: *"If you knew then what you know now, would you still have married your wife?"* In this episode, I walk through my own answer — using the movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" as the lens to think it through.

I talk about the euphoria of falling in love, the "pink mist" that fades, the decade of a dying marriage, and why erasing the pain would also mean erasing some of the best moments of my life. I also share a conversation with a woman who told me she'd never once been in love — and how that made me rethink everything about my own marriage and divorce.
