Tonight's sleepy tale is The Enchanted April by Elizabeth Von Arnim. Published in 1922, it is the story of four disparate women who travel to a medieval castle in Italy for a holiday. In this episode, Mrs Wilkins sees the ad for the castle in the Times and meets Mrs Arbuthnot for the first time.
