Grace, Faith, and the Righteousness of God

We begin our journey through one of the most profound and transformative letters ever written. Paul’s message in Romans lays out the power of the gospel, the reality of human sin, and the beauty of God’s saving righteousness revealed in Christ. From the very start, Paul declares that the gospel “is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes," a truth that frames the entire study. This opening session sets the stage by exploring Paul’s purpose in writing, the historical context of the early church in Rome, and the themes of grace, faith, and new life that will unfold throughout the series. Romans invites us to see ourselves honestly, recognize our need for redemption, and marvel at the God who justifies the ungodly through Christ.
