Ken Boa addresses Paul’s rich explanation of the gospel—how God reveals His righteousness, exposes human sin, and offers redemption through Jesus Christ. In this study, we explore Romans 3:21–31 and examine how the apostle shows that every person stands guilty before a holy God, yet is offered grace through the finished work of Christ. Paul explains that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23 BSB). Sin separates humanity from God, violating His justice and holiness. Yet the same passage goes on to proclaim the hope that sinners “are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:24 BSB). God’s love does not ignore sin; instead, He satisfies justice through the atoning sacrifice of His Son, demonstrating that He is both “just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus” (Romans 3:26 BSB).
