Khandaan: A Bollywood Podcast kicks off 2021 with Episode 87 in which we are joined by Top Friend Beth from Beth Loves Bollywood to discuss all the movies and shows we’ve been watching through the end of the year.

Amrita and Beth watched BRIDGERTON (11m40s), the new Shondaland romance on Netflix. Everyone was super excited to watch WONDER WOMAN 1984 (43m48s)but it was sadly a racist, turgid mess and nobody has anything good to say about it. SOUL (38m10s) took Sujoy and Asim by storm while Beth really couldn’t handle COOLIE NO.1 (55m40s)starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan, which was rather less than the frothy fun promised to us. Finally, Vikramaditya Motwane’s AK vs. AK (1h12m36s)starring Anil Kapoor & Family vs. Anurag Kashyap is one of the funniest, wittiest movies to have emerged from Hindi cinema in recent years, replete with Easter eggs for the discerning Hindi cinema buff.
