Thomas S. Kidd serves as research professor of church history at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the author or contributing editor to many books including but not limited to; Thomas Jefferson: A Biography of Spirit and Flesh, Who Is an Evangelical? The History of a Movement in Crisis, God of Liberty: A Religious History of the American Revolution, and The Great Awakening: The Roots of Evangelical Christianity in Colonial America.
