First Primoz Roglic with the seemingly easy task of fending off Vlasov, Schachmann and Benoot on a stage tailor made for him, then the stark contrast of Wout van Aert defending a slim lead against Pogacar, Bernal, Quintana, Thomas and Yates on a 14km 7% climb up Prati di Tivo. Benji and Lanterne break down the action, most of which has telling lessons for the grand tours to come.
