This episode we kick off the first chapter of our Book Study on I Believe in Love. We begin our first conference diving into the simplicity, yet profound power of love. I am so delighted that my dear friend, Sara Hunter, is joining us this summer to explore the beautiful teaching of St. Therese in more depth.
Wish I was joining you in person with a cup of coffee or tea or a glass of wine so we together could share our hearts, our inner stirrings, and the places where Christ is taking us through the power of this book. But for now, I am so treasured to be with you in this space as we all journey towards stilling our souls in Christ!
Discussion questions:
1. St. Therese said, “In the evening of this life, I shall appear before You with empty hands.” What does this mean to you? How can you begin “emptying your hands?”
2. “Never let your past sins be an obstacle between you and Jesus.” How have your sins been an obstacle? How can we overcome this?
3. Father d’Elblee points out all the things Jesus did NOT ask Peter ( are you wise? Capable of leading? and so forth ). He asks only, “Do you LOVE me?” Because doubting who we are keeps us from fully loving God, what reasons do YOU give yourself for not completely loving God? i.e. “I am not ______ enough!”
