In our Warhammer Old World Lore deep dive episode 27, our fifth Vampire Counts episode, we examine the aftermath of the First Vampire War and the death of Vlad von Carstein. We follow the machinations of his five surviving sons and the fratricide that ensues resulting in Konrad von Carstein, an irredeemable psychopath, taking the throne of Sylvania and the start of the Second Vampire War. We look at this bloody crusade of violence as it faces off against both Dwarf and Human armies. The alliance of the elector Counts of the Empire, their treachery and the very brief reign of a zombie emperor. We end with the battle of Grim Moor and the fall of Konrad under a Runefang wielded by a vengeful son.
