Platforms such as Airbnb have revolutionized travel, making it more affordable than ever to stay awhile in exotic locations around the world. But it’s not all sunshine and roses. If you don’t know what you’re doing, you could end up staying at a dump with cockroaches and bed bugs. Believe us. We’ve stayed at dozens of Airbnbs, and our first experience turned out to be one of our worst experiences.
