Paulie James came up rooted in graffiti, a Queens native. Alongside his peers that made up the internationally famed SMART Crew, whose eloquence within graffiti left a lasting impression on New York’s writing history. Today Paulie runs Uncle Paulie’s Deli, a shop that places an emphasis on the classic sandwich, paying reverence to the delis he grew up going to in Queens.
