Room Taken is a Screen Ireland-funded short film, executive produced by Colin Farrell and produced by Vico Films. Blending humour and suspense with themes of loneliness, resilience, and grief, the film follows Isaac, a newly arrived asylum seeker in Ireland, who stumbles upon an unexpected answer to his temporary homelessness.The film has won 40 awards, including Best Irish Short Film at the Dublin International Film Festival, Best Short Film at the Cleveland International Film Festival, Gold for Best Film at Manhattan Short 2024, Best International Short at the Norwich Film Festival, and the Founders Award at the British Short Film Awards. It was shortlisted among the final 15 for the 2025 Academy Awards and featured in Variety's For Your Consideration festival, The Shortlist.We had such a good time chatting to TJ O'Grady Peyton (director) , Colman MacCionnaith (producer) & Gabriel Adewusi (lead actor)!
