From Psychic Private Eyes to Global Medium – A Conversation with TJ Higgs

In this brilliant and hilariously honest episode, Hannah Macintyre sits down with renowned medium TJ Higgs for a lively conversation about life, mediumship, and everything in between. From working with Colin Fry and Derek Acorah to dodging grey-haired spirit clichés, TJ shares her incredible journey with humour, depth, and a healthy dose of realness.

In this refreshingly candid chat, you’ll hear about:

• TJ’s early experiences as a natural-born medium—and the moment she realised others couldn’t see what she saw
• Her rise to fame through TV’s Psychic Private Eyes and how “TJ” became her working name
• What it was really like demonstrating to audiences of 3,500+ and sharing stages with Colin Fry
• The balance of performance, energy, and integrity in large-scale platform mediumship
• Her very funny (and very real) tips from Colin on handling a tough audience
• How to know when you’re connecting psychically vs. mediumistically—and why it matters
• TJ’s thoughts on the “grey-haired spirit lady” trope and evidence that actually matters
• Cultural experiences teaching in Japan, and how spiritual myths can hold people back
• The value of being human—coffee, wine, trashy TV, and all—while still deeply connected to spirit
• The role of spirit in shifting global consciousness and what comes next for our work

With stories that will make you laugh, nod, and maybe tear up, this conversation is a celebration of living your truth, trusting spirit, and demonstrating with heart.

I'm starting a circle, and you're invited.

Most people developing their mediumship are doing it on their own. From September I'm running a monthly development circle inside Spirit Social, where you practise with other people instead of just reading about it. Over 12 monthly live events, alongside daily card readings and live demonstrations.
