Mediumship in Germany – A Conversation with Karin Huber

In this heartfelt, fascinating, and inspiring interview, Hannah Macintyre is joined by medium and teacher Karin Huber, who shares her journey from childhood spirit sightings in Germany to developing her gifts at the Arthur Findlay College in the UK. With humour and honesty, they explore cultural differences in mediumship, spiritual development, and the power of surrendering to your path.

This rich and relatable conversation covers:

• Karin’s powerful childhood experiences with spirit—and how she shut it down for decades
• A life-changing encounter on the German autobahn that reignited her mediumship
• Her transformative experience at Arthur Findlay College and the magic of learning to trust spirit
• Why mediumship is less accepted in Germany—and how Karin is helping to change that
• Her work with the SNUi (Spiritualists’ National Union International) to support German-speaking students
• The challenge of working in a second language—and the power of presence over perfection
• Differences between German and UK audiences, and how cultural expectations impact demonstrations
• How Karin blends her background as an actress with platform mediumship and teaching
• The emotional truth of evidential readings—and why not every spirit can or will come through
• Her advice for students: take it slow, be kind to yourself, and trust the timing of your journey

This episode is a beautiful reminder that mediumship transcends borders—and that spirit will always find a way through, no matter the language.

I'm starting a circle, and you're invited.

Most people developing their mediumship are doing it on their own. From September I'm running a monthly development circle inside Spirit Social, where you practise with other people instead of just reading about it. Over 12 monthly live events, alongside daily card readings and live demonstrations.
