Texas, Teaching Clashes & Crumbling Idols

In this raw, thoughtful and wide-ranging episode, Hannah returns from teaching in Texas—energised by passionate students and powerful demonstrations, but also deeply reflective about the clashes, contradictions and crumbling structures in modern mediumship.

✨ In this episode:

• Returning from a transformative teaching trip with Jennifer Fazio in Texas
• The value of disagreeing with love—why differing teaching styles create better mediums
• What it’s like to teach alongside someone with completely different evidential priorities
• Debates on death as evidence, spirit bringing through the living, and how to structure a reading
• The importance of trying multiple approaches in your development—even if it feels clunky at first
• A major inspiration: a real audience for student practice and an in-person intensive on the horizon
• Reflections on disillusionment with the mediumship industry—and how inspiration reignited the spark
• A challenging email about Gordon Higginson, fraud accusations, and the fall of spiritual idols
• The tension between spiritualism as religion vs. personal spirituality
• Arthur Findlay College, silence, fear, and the harm of unchallengeable hierarchies
• Why it’s time to start questioning everything—without losing the love
• Plus: the birthday of modern spiritualism, fake physical mediumship, and muslin cloths 🤢

It’s honest, fiery, vulnerable and so needed—an unfiltered look at the cracks in the system, and the hope that emerges when we start to tell the truth.

I'm starting a circle, and you're invited.

Most people developing their mediumship are doing it on their own. From September I'm running a monthly development circle inside Spirit Social, where you practise with other people instead of just reading about it. Over 12 monthly live events, alongside daily card readings and live demonstrations.
