Episode 192 - Squindo

Tony Squindo is an American artist, painter, author and sculptor. He's best known for designing some of Metallica's most iconic artwork since 1999/2000. Whether it's t-shirts, album covers or poster art for other notable bands like The Misfits, Green Day, The Offspring, Kid Rock or The Ramones, or skate decks, snow mobiles and custom tikis, Squindo's work is completely original featuring a playful mixture of monsters, skulls and folklore.

In this episode we learn about Squindo's childhood, his love of making art, his break with Kid Rock, meeting Lars and his career carving a unique path through some of our favorite bands and designs. Like most people involved with Metallica, Squindo is both a true original and a generous person. We hope you dig getting to know him as much as we did. Enjoy!
