Dr. Joe Dispenza teaches that sleep is one of the most powerful times to rewire the brain, because the subconscious mind is more receptive, and the body naturally shifts into healing and restoration. 1. Why Sleep Is Powerful for Reprogramming-
During the transition into sleep (the hypnagogic state) and upon waking (the hypnopompic state), the brain shifts into theta brain waves—a state linked to deep learning, creativity, and suggestibility.

In this state, the analytical mind relaxes, which allows affirmations, visualizations, and meditative practices to sink directly into the subconscious.

Because the subconscious is responsible for most of our automatic thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, this is the perfect time to “install” new programming.
Dispenza emphasizes that if we fall asleep replaying stress, fear, or resentment, those emotions “program” the subconscious overnight, keeping the body locked in survival mode.
