This is the life of St. Francis of Assisi. He lived in the middle ages. It has been so many centuries since he lived usually all we hear of him now, is his love of animals, or me might see a statue of him in a garden among flowers. He fasted, had ecstasy, and founded an order. He overcame the temptation of the wealth and honors of his family. He became very humble and charitable to all. These are many short and simple stories of his life by an unknown author called the Little Flowers of St. Francis.
