Desperation to catch a killer can make investigators blind, sometimes willingly so, to their glaring mistakes. On August 19th 1985 a young woman became the first victim of a serial killer that, at their conclusion, took the lives of 9 women. A case that, though a man was placed behind bars, remains unsolved to this day.
