Part of the power of life
Is growing in knowledge,
Growing in understanding,
And sharpening the mind.
PAUSE
So, take a minute
And still your mind.
And any thought
That dangles into the stillness,
See it falling away.
PAUSE
Imagine, now, holding a book,
A large leather book
With lots of pages.
It is a book of all the knowledge
In the world.
And as you turn each page,
You absorb the knowledge
On that page.
PAUSE
You start at the first page
And run your hand
Over the words
While breathing deeply,
Breathing in knowledge.
PAUSE
Now, let yourself pause,
And to reflect on the knowledge.
How do you feel?
Grateful.
Empowered.
Strong.
PAUSE
As the knowledge from the book
Is absorbed into you,
Feel your brain stretching and growing
In different directions,
Finding all the right places
To store the knowledge.
PAUSE
You turn to a different page,
And like osmosis,
The knowledge seeps into you.
PAUSE
After a few moments,
You pause and close the book,
Accepting that there will be
More knowledge to absorb
Another day.
PAUSE
And, as you place the book
Back on the shelf,
You bless the book
For what it shared,
And go into the world
Ready to use the knowledge
Gifted to you.
