AAO Late Breaker: Ang-2 Mediation in DME Therapy

The next generation of therapy for DME patients will require looking beyond the VEGF pathway. In the phase 2 BOULEVARD study, researchers are assessing the safety and efficacy of the angiopoietin-2 mediator faricimab (Roche/Genentech) for the treatment of DME. Could the angiopoietin pathway present a new option for patients?
