In this episode, we’re checking out Deconstructed Club, or post-club, a genre that seeks to push back against the tropes of club music and explore the boundaries of various styles of EDM and IDM. We (very) briefly discuss the genre’s history, how it did or didn’t click with us, and explore a variety of DJ sets and mixes from YUNG SHIRO 白. Ultimately, deconstructed club is a fascinating blend of club genres, post-industrial, grime, and so much more and offers a rewarding experience to the persistent listener.
