Although this is nothing new (there have always been people who appear to be busy, while achieving little), it has definitely become harder for leaders to identify and deal with than it was in the past. How can you tell when someone is replacing real work with demonstrations of their own busyness?
We’d all like to think that we’re able to spot this behavior a mile away, but it’s sometimes a little more complicated than we might imagine.
