A conversation with Tomi Adeyemi on her new novel 'The Siren'

The author Tomi Adeyemi rose to fame with Children of Blood and Bone, the first novel in her popular young adult fantasy series based on the Yoruba religion. That book is the subject of a long-awaited Hollywood adaptation set to come out in January. Now, Adeyemi is out with a new book called The Siren, which is set on a college campus. In today’s episode, the author joins NPR’s Andrew Limbong for a conversation about setting her new book in the real world, the difficulty she faced while working on the Children of Blood and Bone film and her relationship with social media.
