As children of immigrants, we've never been shown how to deal with hard things. Most of the time we're told to be strong and push forward, leave the past in the past. But, as we grow we realize that we can't just brush some things under the rug.

Some moments in life are so difficult to process that if we don't heal from them, moving forward isn't possible. And even if we force ourselves to push through we're doing ourselves and others coming into our lives a huge disservice.
