Quill Kukla: Consent to Sex in a Non-Ideal World

Quill R. Kukla is a Professor of Philosophy at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown University. Quill and Kate explore how it is possible to consent to sex in a world riven with inequality and power-imbalance. Kate Greasley is an Associate Professor in Law at the University of Oxford. She is the Principal Investigator for the AHRC-funded project, “Sexual Consent in the Post-#MeToo World: A Study in Philosophy and Law.” Quill R. Kukla is a Professor of Philosophy and a Senior Research Scholar at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown University, where they are also the director of Disability Studies. Their main areas of research are philosophy of language, philosophy of science, ethics, social epistemology, and anti-oppression philosophy. In this conversation, Quill and Kate explore how it is possible to consent to sex in a world riven with inequality and power-imbalance.
