In this podcast Miriam visits landscape architect, Jennifer Schulz at Waldgarten Britz, a forest garden in central Berlin. The 2.8 hectare forest garden is located just 1 km from the densely built-up area of Gropiusstadt. The forest garden is only two years old, but there are already clear changes in the biodiversity of the area. Jennifer Schulz talks about the project, which is the first of its kind in Germany.I also meet Associate Professor Natalie Gulsrud from the University of Copenhagen, who talks about the importance of multi species rights to the city. The Forest Garden Britz is not only a natural paradise close to the city, but also a place of cohesion and community. It is open to all members of the association and their guests for communal gardening.
Can Forest Garden Britz be a model park for our future cities? https://waldgarten-britz.de
