Jesus said, "I give you authority." When he went to heaven, he transferred his authority to us. It is similar to how, on earth, we can have authority through a power of attorney over someone. Jesus gave us his power of attorney over our bodies, health, finances and life.

We ask other people often to pray for us because we feel they are better at praying than we are, but the truth is you don't know how they are praying, if they are praying or if they forgot to pray for you.

You don't want your health in someone else's responsibility. You cannot leave all the prayers for your healing up to another person. You truly don't know how invested they are in praying for you. Besides, the Bible says I give you authority. It means you have more authority over your situation than another person. You need to pray, war and fight for your healing.
