As free individuals, to change the draining and unsustainable system of values where one is measured and valued by what they own or what they seem to be, at the expense of who they really are, we must understand

• the obsessive concern to consume whatever is considered the required acquisition of the day, at any price;
• the anxiety to be well regarded and respected in the social context;
• the torment to be dressed according to the latest fashion; and
• the restlessness to be well-informed regarding the latest subject of every moment.

all contribute to take away our true emotional, mental, and physical well being. In this fight to NOT become shallow creatures, it does not matter our current living conditions -- educated or not, strong or weak, rich or poor -- we must focus on our true freedom to be ourselves.
