EP53: Lucha Libre Lady Killer

Unveiling the story of Mexico's first documented serial killer, Juana Barazza, presents a narrative steeped in stark contrasts and harrowing realities. At the age of 48, this single mother's life was shadowed by a disturbing past filled with horrific childhood abuse and sexual exploitation. Juana's journey as an adult was a vivid study in contradictions: In the public eye, she was celebrated as "La Dama del Silencio" ("The Lady of Silence"), a formidable figure in the vibrant world of Lucha Libre wrestling. However, beneath the facade of her elaborate mask, a sinister truth lurked. Juana was a heartless assassin, implicated in the tragic deaths of nearly 50 elderly women. Despite her notable achievements in the wrestling arena, Juana Barazza's legacy is irreversibly tainted, overshadowed by the grim moniker "La Mataviejitas" (The Little Old Lady Killer).
