A lot happened in chapters 5 and 6. Dottie, a classmate, announced she was planning a fundraiser to make money to buy dog food. Robin and Mary came up with several ideas for placing dogs, none of which worked out, and Uncle Damian volunteered his help.

In chapters 7 and 8, Robin and Mary get their assignments for the Talent Show Fundraiser, and Greg and Gary, the two claustrophobic veterans get some help from Robin’s uncle Damian and Mary’s mother to buy and fix up the abandoned greenhouses.
