A young couple moves into a repurposed Sunday-school farmhouse—cheap rent, painted shut windows, and a shower the size of a phone booth. At first, it’s just quirky…until the bedroom door closes itself, the furnace blasts full heat on a sweltering night, and a desperate triangle-shaped banishing is the only thing that shuts it off. Later, a ceiling light snaps off—though the switch is on the outside of the room—and the couple discovers the door handle, deadbolt, and switch were all installed to lock someone in.
