Why It’s Still Too Early to Write Off the Oilers

Nick Kypreos and Justin Bourne welcome in Sportsnet Oilers reporter Mark Spector (4:49) to discuss the feeling in Edmonton approaching the American Thanksgiving benchmark. He gets into why he's confident the Oilers will bounce back from their familiar early-season struggles, their options in the goalie trade market, and Trent Frederic failing to meet expectations of his 8-year deal. Then, he reviews Evan Bouchard's case for a spot on Team Canada at the Olympics and what Jack Roslovic's next contract might look like after a year on Leon Draisaitl's line. Later, Nick, Justin and Sam react to Mikko Rantanen's game misconduct after a hit on Isles' Alexander Romanov, Patrick Roy's fiery response, and Eetu Luostarinen's off-ice injury.
