There is a root that stretches back in time. Follow it far enough and you'll reach ancestors for whom you have no names—yet who hold the memories that can heal our world. As autumn thins the veil and asks us to remember what came before, I'm revisiting one of my favorite transmissions: a conversation about the deep ancestors, those who lived long before written history, and who are far more eager to speak with us than we might think.
I recorded this one back when my daughter was still just a little seed in my belly, and I'm returning to it now from inside the painted caves of the Dordogne in Southern France, still working on the very book these ancestors first called me to write seven years ago. In this episode, I share the story of the shamanic journey that changed everything for me, how a DNA test later confirmed what I'd felt in that vision, and how you can begin your own conversation with the deep ones of your lineage this season.
