Entombed: Left Hand Path
Quite possibly one of the most important albums in extreme metal, Entombed's Left Hand Path captured the ferocity, darkness and explosive energy of Swedish death metal more concise than most of their peers. Much of this can be attributed to many of the songs being around in one form or another for years before Entombed ever drew their logo on a cassette case. Nihilist, the precursor to Entombed, was a testing ground for 90% of Left Hand Path's material, and this moniker was whom was signed to Earache initially. After a minor lineup and name change, Entombed recorded what is now considered on of the benchmarks of Swedish Death Metal.
